Icewalk Deluxe details

The Icewalk Deluxe is a six hour trip up the entire length of the lower Athabasca Glacier, usually culminating in an ascent into the lowest of three icefalls. Starting in the parking lot nearest the glacier, we assess your level of ability and outfit everyone with the necessary equipment. Then we head off to the glacier.

Going past areas covered by the Ice Cubed walks, into some of the most rugged sections of the glacier, this hike is guaranteed to take your breath away! In the upper sections of the trip you'll have the opportunity to look into crevasses, gawk at towering seracs of ice and maybe even see an ice avalanche or two.

Although the distance isn't great (about 8 km round trip), the ice we walk over is never flat. You will need to pay attention and you will certainly sleep well after this trip!

Sundays and Thursdays 10:40 AM, Departing promptly at 11:00 AM Duration: 5-6 hours
Adults: $65.00 CDN (including GST)
Children: 7-16 years, $30.00
